It was a rainy morning when my family and I set out on our hike to Chimney Rock in Sedona, Arizona. About thirty minutes into our hike though, the clouds parted and revealed the most spectacular view of Thunder Mountain. I was struck by the elements signifying the close proximity of human inhabitation - we had after all walked from our vacation rental to the trailhead. That contrast with the beautiful natural landscape before me was something to behold.
