My family took a trip to New Orleans two years ago and I absolutely loved all of the gorgeous live oak trees that were in City Park, near our accommodations. It's fascinating that the trees my children were climbing over and around could have been the same ones that children were doing the same to hundreds of years ago. This was painted off of a reference photo I took on our first night there, as I was struck by the gnarled branches and dripping Spanish moss.
