The Tennessee Democracy Network approached me to design a logo for their program that aimed to address low voter participation rates through a community survey and engagement program. The state of Tennessee historically has one of the lowest voting rates in the country, and this program works to remind voters of the importance of their voice, while wanting to understand what barriers persist to prevent them from engaging in the voting process.

Logo Design
The organization did not have a name for the program, so I drafted several options for both the name and the design of the logo. The program is politically neutral, so I drew upon the colors of the American flag to communicate that participation in this survey welcomed voters of all political affiliations.

After determining that "Counting on You" was the direction that the client wanted, I crafted several more logos that utilized the blue and red color palette.

This was chosen as the final logo, which featured an image of a voter in profile looking toward the future.
