It rained most of the week on our trip to Sedona, Arizona, so once we had a sunny afternoon, I took the opportunity to gather up my supplies and do a plein air painting. I hiked a little over half a mile to a beautiful overlook, only to discover I had forgotten my wet palette! I ripped out a piece of paper from my sketchbook to act as my palette, which worked ok, though the paint dried very rapidly. This was painted over the course of about 45 minutes.
